Applied Statistics goes to the Movies
At the course Applied Statistics (2010 November)taught by Associate professor Christian Bressen Pipper, one of the study groups chose to turn in an assignment as a music video/rap.
We find that to be a fantastic idea. You can watch their video below.
The assignemnt was titled "Volume of cherry trees". You can see it here (PDF).
They called themselves the Cherry Tree Trios. the trio consists of Michael Romaniuk, Leah Trubashnik and Cody Buffington.
We thank them a lot, for their creativity and their novel approach to handing in an assignment. Hopefully it is not the last time our students become that creative.
But, one might ponder: What's next? A master thesis in environmental chemistry written with a laser on a piece of bark? Laboratory logs knitted into sweaters?.... :-)
