Statistics Consultations for Students
The consultations are intended for students at the Faculty of Life Sciences and the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences (also PhD students) and they are meant as a supplement to one's own efforts - to a limited extent. Once a week one or two members of the Statistics Group are available for three 20 minute consultations between 15:00 and 16:00. After 16:00 it is possible to stand in line and the consultations will continue for another hour or so: first come, first served.
It is only allowed to book ONE consultation at a time (multiple reservations will be deleted!). It's not possible to extend the consultations beyond 20 minutes so prepare a short and precise presentation of the problem.
Remember to CANCEL the reservation if you are unable to attend by contacting the person whose time you booked (for example via e-mail) - then there will be room for someone else!
If the statistical component of your project is relatively large you could consider the following alternatives:
- Having a co-supervisor from the Statistics Group.
- Attending the course Applied Statistics (210001).
As part of the course you will spend three weeks on writing a report
containing a comprehensive statistical analysis of your own data.
