Structure-activity correlations

It is a fundamental aspect of biochemistry that biological or biochemical activity depends on molecular structure. Enzyme specificity is but one of the numerous examples of this principle, which is integrated in most research projects in the group. This is also a major reason for the importance of elucidation of molecular structures in biochemistry.
