Sino Danish Centre for Education and Research (SDC)

The Sino Danish Centre for Education and Research (SDC) is a joint project on education and research between the eight Danish universities among them University of Copenhagen the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and its Graduate University (GUCAS).

 

The overall aim of SDC is to strengthen and develop collaboration between Danish and Chinese research environments, PhD education, and joint MSc programmes for the benefit of both countries.

 

LIFE ViVa takes a leading part within the research theme Water & Environment.

 

Together with researchers from Aarhus University, Technical University of Denmark, Southern University of Denmark and the Chinese Academy of Sciences a research project on restoration and reestablishment of eco systems has been initiated.

 

Data will be collected trough research stations by the Yellow River, Yangtze River and Pearl River in China each located in different climatic zones. Find more information here.

 

The Sino Danish Centre will be located at GUCAS' future Yanqihu Campus in Beijing.

 

SDC will accommodate 100 researchers from both countries and offer MSc programmes to 300 students as well as PhD training programmes to 75 PhD students.
